The Iowa Department of Education, Bureau of Children, Family and Community Services, developed a Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology (QIAT) rubric based on the work of the national QIAT Consortium. Iowa's QIAT rubric worksheets can assist AT teams and school districts to develop local capacity in delivering AT services and devices. Such tool can be used by schools and organizations to self assess the level of assistive technology services they provide (or don't provide), identify areas to develop, and define action plans and strategies for implementing assistive technology.
