Hi,

My name is Audrey Le and I am a student at the University of California, Berkeley. I am currently enrolled in an Assistive Technologies Computer Science course. My group and I are working to develop a tool that will be used to aid people with severe cognitive and motor impairments in accessing music choices and composing music. Our goal is to design a product which can be used via switch input and that will incorporate both audio and visual scanning interfaces. For more information, feel free to peruse our project propsal which can be found at:

If you have answers to any of the questions below, or know of any resources, articles, etc. that would be of help, please contact me. I would greatly appreciate any information you could give.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Audrey
_____________

1. Do you know of any existing tools or applications that allow users with motor and/or cognitive impairments to listen to/compose music?

2. Are you familiar with any single switch input devices that deal with anything similar to this?

3. What single switch input software seems to work best for those with cognitive and motor disability?
Can the software be used independently without the help of a carer?

Again, thank you for your time!
